Kiwan Kim
Acupuncture & IMS

Kiwan is a registered acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CTCMA). Although he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology from McGill University, he was always influenced by his father, who is a Korean medicine doctor, to ultimately pursue his career in acupuncture. After completing his diploma in acupuncture from PCU College of Holistic Medicine, he traveled to Korea to learn and gain valuable experience working alongside his father in his clinic.

Kiwan is trained and certified in Joint Energy Techniques (JET), which is a method used to assist in functional movement restoration and pain relief. He also applies a bio-mechanical approach to his practice, allowing him to identify abnormal movement patterns, improve postural alignment, and enhance performance. Kiwan is a member of the Korean Pain Diagnosis Society and is trained in clinical approaches to functional movement disorders in LPHC (Lumbo Pelvic-hip complex) and CSHC (Cervico Scapular Humeral Complex). He is proficient in various acupuncture techniques, including acupressure, Tuina, moxibustion, cupping, and electrical needling. In addition, Kiwan utilizes Chu-na to provide pelvic correction and postural alignment.

Kiwan enjoys an active lifestyle outside of his work, often going for runs on sunny days and playing golf. He also likes to go hiking and take leisurely walks in his free time.
